Boltslaw Cottage is a self-catering cottage set in the peaceful surroundings of the North Pennine Hills, near the village of Blanchland. The self-catering cottage is close to the town of Hexham in Northumberland. The cottage has retained many of its original features whilst having comfortable furnishings.

The living/dining room is comfortable and cosy with two sofas, ideal for spending an evening by the fire and includes a phone, flat-screen TV with Sky Freeview, DVD player, a music centre and a WiFi hub. The kitchen is equipped with a washer/dryer, fridge freezer and food processor.

There are two bedrooms, one a king-size and one twin. The garden has wonderful views and includes a BBQ and two terraces.

The self-catering cottage is just 2 miles from the village of Blanchland which has a cafe, shop and restaurant. The town of Hexham is 10 miles away and has lots of shops, a historic abbey and a town centre. From there it is a short distance to Hadrian's Wall and its many forts. The North Pennine Dales - Weardale, Teesdale and Allendale are all on the doorstep.

The Barn offers fantastic self-catering accommodation in Lunedale. Based in a tranquil countryside setting near Middleton-in-Teesdale, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. We are in an excellent location for exploring County Durham, including the charming market town of Barnard Castle which is only 12 miles away.

Our beautiful barn retains many original features whilst offering high-quality accommodation. Delightful features include exposed beams, authentic stonework and superb floor to ceiling windows which take advantage of the stunning views of the North Pennine hills.

Two comfortable bedrooms are available: a downstairs double with a memory foam mattress and an upstairs twin. Both rooms share a bathroom on the first floor.

We have a peaceful patio/garden area to enjoy on a warm summer’s day. The patio comes with a picnic table and the garden is fully fenced, perfect for your four-legged companions.

Teesdale is one of the most picturesque parts of County Durham, with an abundance of scenic walks to enjoy. The nearby market town of Barnard Castle is great for shoppers, with lots of antique shops waiting to be discovered. Food lovers are spoilt for choice as the town has a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs available, all serving home-made food.
