Nestled in the picturesque town of Maidenhead, Berkshire, Sheephouse Manor offers exceptional self-catering accommodation in five charming cottages and the private wing of a beautiful manor house. With stunning views of rolling countryside, it provides the perfect setting for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Cottage One:

This cosy cottage features a queen-size bed, en suite shower, dining table, and galley kitchen. The pretty patio outside is an ideal spot for watching the sunset, making it perfect for couples.

Cottage Two:

A spacious and comfortable cottage in the main stable block, offering beautiful views over the gardens. With the capacity to sleep up to five people, it includes a large master bedroom with a double and single bed, a small twin bedroom, a large walk-in shower, and a second bathroom en suite to the second bedroom. The cosy lounge and large dining room table make it suitable for families or groups.

Cottage Three:

This superb cottage accommodates up to three people in a queen-size bed, with an additional sofa bed in the lounge. The enclosed fenced garden and patio offer an ideal spot for al fresco dining.

Cottage Four:

A spacious open-plan studio cottage with an attractive vaulted ceiling overlooking the gardens. It includes a queen-size bed, a sofa bed for a third adult or two small children, a fully equipped kitchen, and a small dining table. The en suite features a large walk-in shower.

Cottage Five:

A cosy one-bedroom cottage with a queen bed overlooking fields and cattle. The open-plan lounge/kitchen includes high-seated stools at the breakfast bar, and the sofa bed is suitable for a third adult or two small children. The en suite shower and private fenced-in patio complete the experience.

All cottages are tastefully furnished and equipped with modern comforts, including fully equipped kitchens, free Wi-Fi, TVs, off-street parking, laundry facilities, and access to the beautiful two-acre grounds, BBQ, and a seasonal above-ground pool (May-September, subject to conditions).

The West Wing:

Located in the private wing of an elegant Manor House, this holiday home with its own entrance sleeps up to six people. Three spacious bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, offer comfort and convenience. While the kitchen/dining room is relatively small, the lounge boasts an L-shaped sofa area with a large TV and Freeview. Guests can enjoy the delightful gardens, children’s paddock, dog run, and BBQ.

In the local area, Sheephouse Manor serves as an ideal base to visit LEGOLAND and Windsor Castle, explore the Thames Path, or discover beautiful towns like Ascot, Henley, and Marlow. After a busy day, Sheephouse Manor provides a tranquil resting place to recharge and relax. Mountain bikes are available for hire, and boat trips on the River Thames can be booked locally.

Manor Farm Courtyard Cottages provides luxurious self catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Hampstead Norreys. Located near Thatcham in a lovely area of Berkshire, we are perfect for an idyllic getaway.

Accommodation

We have 4 wonderful properties to choose from, ideal for larger groups, sleeping up to 16 people when all the cottages are combined. Our 17th Century former barn and stables have been beautifully renovated to offer modern accommodation.

The Studio

Our cosy studio sleeps up to 2 people, great for a romantic getaway. The studio is equipped for people with level 3 physical mobility issues, including level access throughout with a wide stable door and non-slip wet room. The sun-filled living area comes with a high-spec TV and the bedroom has a super king double/twin bed. A sofa bed can also be requested for an additional fee. A sleek stone bathroom is also available. Outside there is access to the walled garden and a paved area with garden furniture for al fresco dining.

Hayloft

We offer cosy accommodation in Hayloft, tucked away in a large loft and offering lovely living areas. The accommodation is on the first floor, sleeping 4 in two lavish double/twin bedrooms with super king beds, both with en suite facilities. A sofa bed can be requested for an additional fee. The gorgeous beamed lying-in room is perfect for relaxing in and outside there is access to the walled garden and a paved area with garden furniture for al fresco dining.

Pear Tree Cottage

Our fabulous cottage sleeps 2 people, ideal for the ultimate rural retreat. Outside there is a private terrace, great for a coffee in the morning sun. The master bedroom comes with a queen size bed with old timber posts and the luxurious bathroom has a whirlpool bath and large walk-in shower. A further WC is downstairs. A sitting room has a sofa bed that can be requested for an additional fee.

Orchard Cottage

We provide cosy accommodation in Orchard Cottage, great for families or a group looking for somewhere special to stay. The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 double/twin rooms with super king beds and en suite facilities. The sitting room has French doors that lead to a spacious terrace with garden furniture for al fresco dining. The kitchen/dining area is well-equipped and downstairs there is a shower room.

Visiting Hampstead Norreys & Exploring Berkshire

We are nestled in the quaint village of Hampstead Norreys, home to gorgeous walking routes and lots of traditional country pursuits. Next to the cottage, you can also visit The village community shop & café. The village offers access to Newbury, Oxford, Highclere Castle, Didcot, Swindon, the M4 and A34. Excellent attractions to visit include:

Brambly Thatch boasts stunningly appointed 17th Century self-catering accommodation in the Berkshire hamlet of Goring Heath near the town of Pangbourne. Set in beautiful surroundings, this holiday cottage of character is also perfectly situated to reach Oxfordshire, Reading and within touching distance of the wonderful Chilterns, Brambly thatch is a perfect choice for any visitors to this area.

Leave your wellington boots in the small wooden porch and open the front door to a warm, wooden beamed living room, complete with a beautiful old Rayburn. In addition to the living room, the ground floor in the thatch has a small but well-equipped kitchen, a cosy dining room and a twin bedroom which sits up a few steps, at the Northern end of the cottage. Climb the narrow staircase and you will find, the master double room, a single room and the bathroom. Brambly Thatch is situated on a quiet farm track and looks out on the garden, a beautiful old English Oak Tree with farm fields and trees beyond.

Brambly Thatch is a picture book holiday cottage. It is a 400-year-old thatched farm cottage. Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the southern end of the Chiltern Hills. An ideal base for exploring Southern England - Stonehenge, Bath, Oxford, Stratford, Windsor, London etc. Wildlife includes red kites, buzzards, kestrels, sparrowhawks, deer, badgers, foxes etc. Good pubs and eating places locally.
