Dating back to the 17th Century, this fairy tale holiday cottage exudes charm and character, inviting guests to step into a world of make-believe adorned with whimsical carvings of mushrooms, spiderwebs, birds, and mice intricately woven into the oak beams and stonework.
Upon entering the cottage, visitors are greeted by an enchanting entrance hall, which doubles as a playroom, leading to a sitting room adorned with low ceilings and rustic oak beams. A wood-burning stove and central heating create a cosy ambience, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. The sitting room seamlessly flows into the dining room, featuring a pitch pine table, pews, and a dresser, before opening into the light and airy new kitchen equipped with modern amenities such as a four-ring electric cooker, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher.
Upstairs, a half-spiral oak staircase leads to three charming bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom boasts a double brass bed and an en suite with shower, while the second bedroom offers twin beds with handmade oak headboards and a delightful balcony overlooking the garden. The third bedroom, beloved by children, features a narrow oak door and a cosy single bed set into an alcove.
Outside, the pretty garden, shared with the owners, beckons guests to unwind and explore. A covered barbecue/fireplace and a 12ft garden table and benches set the stage for warm summer evenings and lazy afternoons. Additionally, the garden features three magical playhouses—Ruth’s Cottage, Tom’s Lodge, and Charlotte's Post Office—crafted by the owners for their grandchildren and now available for all guests to enjoy.

Complete with a double bed, cooker/oven, sink, hot water, small fridge, table and chairs, wood burner, and a toilet and shower room, the hut provides a cosy retreat for two.
