Borthwood Cottages, Borthwood, Sandown, Isle of Wight

Borthwood Cottages, Borthwood, Sandown, Isle of Wight

Borthwood Cottages are a delightful collection of self-catering holiday cottages located on the picturesque Isle of Wight, just outside Sandown near Borthwood. These cottages, which were once a milking parlour on a working farm, have been meticulously rebuilt and refurbished to a high standard, offering guests a comfortable and charming retreat.

Elm, Oak, and Rose Cottages have been thoughtfully designed to accommodate less abled guests and those who use wheelchairs. These cottages have received a 4-star rating from VisitEngland.com and an M2 grading from the English Tourism Council, ensuring that they meet high standards of accessibility and comfort. Although Laurel Cottage is not officially graded, it shares a similar design and offers the same level of care in its construction and amenities. Built with brick and slate roofs, all the cottages are fully insulated and double-glazed, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. Most rooms face south, allowing guests to enjoy stunning views throughout their stay.

Rose, Oak, and Laurel Cottages can each accommodate up to six guests, while Elm Cottage can host up to four guests. Each cottage is equipped with full central heating, ensuring a cosy environment year-round. The cost of all utilities, duvets, bed linen, and towels is included in the tariff, making it easy for guests to relax and enjoy their holiday without worrying about extra costs. During peak season, Rose, Oak, and Elm Cottages are available for weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday, while Laurel Cottage is available from Friday to Friday. Outside of peak times, Borthwood Cottages offer more flexible booking options to suit different schedules and preferences.

Borthwood Cottages provide an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Wight. The spacious family accommodation, combined with the incorporation of disabled facilities, makes these cottages perfect for all visitors. In the neighbouring fields, guests will have the pleasure of meeting Erick and his family, the resident Highland cows. These friendly animals can often be seen helping to keep the grass down in the paddocks surrounding the holiday cottages, adding a touch of rural charm to the stay.

Whether guests are looking to explore the natural beauty and historical sites of the Isle of Wight or simply to relax in a comfortable and welcoming environment, Borthwood Cottages offer the perfect retreat. With their blend of traditional character and modern amenities, these cottages provide a wonderful home away from home on this beautiful island.
