Wissett Farm Holidays offers holiday accommodation on a working farm situated in the rural village of Wissett, near Halesworth in Suffolk.

About Wissett Farm Holidays
The holiday homes are set around a courtyard garden. All have well equipped kitchens, dining/living areas, double bedroom (king size bed) with en suite bathroom. All have free Wi-Fi and dishwashers. Fleetwood is suitable for Level 2 disability (with wet room). We welcome dogs in Fleetwood and Bloomsbury free of charge. Perfect for those looking for group accommodation and families wishing to holiday together. The shared courtyard is ideal for family get-togethers and barbeques. All 3 homes have a no smoking policy onsite Sustainably heated by a farm biomass boiler, electricity provided by solar panels.

Hartopp - Sleeps 2: Hartopp is named after a Lord of the Manor of which Wissett Lodge was part. The bed can be a king-size double or twin beds.

Bloomsbury - Sleeps 2: Bloomsbury is named after Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell, members of the Bloomsbury Set who lived at Wissett Lodge in 1916. One dog may stay free of charge. There is a king-size bed.

Fleetwood - Sleeps 4: Mobility level 2, with wet room. Fleetwood is named after a Lord of the Manor of which Wissett Lodge was part, General Fleetwood’s wife was Oliver Cromwell’s daughter Bridget. There are two bedrooms one with king size bed and wet room, and one twin bedroom with an ensuite shower.

Our Farm: The Wissett Lodge farm of 300 acres has been farmed by the Kiddy family since 1954. Farming wheat, barley and oilseed rape crops with a recent introduction of rare breed Norfolk Horn sheep to grassland. Ancient hedges surrounding working farm fields are maintained as natural habitats for wildlife. A farm walk allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of the farm and the wildlife over the ponds, fields and arboretum. Our sunsets are not to be missed!

The Area
The market town of Halesworth is 3 miles away. There is a good range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, plus a weekly Wednesday market. Also a Co-operative supermarket, two fuel stations and the railway station with hourly links to London Liverpool Street. The Cut Arts Centre hosts varied performance events, films and festivals throughout the year.

Suffolk enjoys a rich heritage of medieval churches and traditional village pubs. The coast is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The village pub, Wissett Plough, is in walking distance. The Saxon round tower church of St Andrew’s has regular Services and is open for visitors. Valley Farm Vineyards is nearby, open for tours and tastings. Close by is Halesworth Fishing Lakes.
