Hyde Farm Cottages, Olney, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (Sleeps 1-4)

Hyde Farm Cottages are superbly appointed stone-built country cottages set on a working farm at Olney. They are in glorious rolling Buckinghamshire countryside, with lovely open views. Hyde Farm is a working 500+ acre mixed farm, growing cereal crops such as barley, wheat and rape, as well as home to a flock of sheep. It is close to the main farmhouse at the end of a long drive and overlooks open farmland. Our beautiful stone-built cottages provide a perfectly stress-free environment.

About Hyde Farm Cottages:
Although they vary slightly, each holiday cottage has its own garden with a patio area and plenty of off-road parking and is completely self-contained with no shared facilities.

The lounge is very comfortable with lovely open views and has a TV and DVD.

The country-style kitchen with dining table is spacious and well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

Also on the ground floor is the utility room which is fitted with a washer/dryer (there is also a garden rotary clothes drier for the summer months) and a separate WC.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

Bedroom 1 has a super king-size bed which can be split into 2 singles to make a second twin room (please specify at the time of booking) It is very light and airy, furnished with matching pine furniture and has its own TV.

Bedroom 2 is a comfortable twin room and is also furnished with pine furniture.

The upstairs bathroom is clean and bright and is fitted with a bath/over-shower & WC.

A travel cot (no linen) and a high chair are available at an extra charge.

Because we want you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, we don't have any swings and slides or play areas, although children are welcome; but there is lots of open space and local walks and lots of fresh air for you to enjoy throughout the whole year.

The small market town of Olney is 1.5 miles away and is one of the most attractive towns in the county. It is renowned for its exceptional conservation area which contains buildings primarily constructed from the local limestone.

The town itself has a wealth of attractions for tourists, including antique shops, places of historical interest, numerous pubs and eating establishments and ample free car parking. Many places of interest are open on Sundays. The town centres around the marketplace and a busy general market is held here every Thursday and a farmer’s market on the first Sunday of each month.
