We are based in a unique setting on the banks of the Arid Garden, offering amazing views across Ventnor Botanic Garden and the sea beyond. Our cottage on the Isle of Wight is truly perfect for a magical holiday in a glorious location.
Our charming Victorian cottage has been sympathetically restored to offer superb accommodation, set amongst trees and plants at Ventnor Botanic Garden. The cottage offers amazing views across the English Channel and you receive access to the 22 acres of stunning botanical gardens.
Our wonderful garden cottage offers an abundance of period details and is tastefully decorated with delightful vintage detail. Inside there is a lovely open plan living, dining and kitchen area with views across the gardens and the English Channel. Unwind in the living area which has a TV with Freeview, books and a toasty wood burner for those chilly days. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the well-equipped kitchen which has an induction hob and electric oven, a dishwasher and a fridge with an icebox, plus underfloor heating.
Bedrooms consist of a double en suite room with a gorgeous roll-top bath to soak yourself in whilst savouring the glorious views. A twin room and a study with 2 single beds and a desk are also available. On the ground floor, there is a wet room and a family shower room comes with a separate WC.
Outside there is a patio area with a table and chairs, and a BBQ, offering a great spot for a glass of wine whilst admiring the splendid garden views.
Breakfast and dining options are available at the Plantation Room or the stunning edulis restaurant, both in the grounds of the garden.
We are in the ideal location for exploring the area. Only a short walk away is the beach at Steephill Cove and further into Ventnor town there is a range of interesting vintage shops and antique stores, excellent restaurants and the amazing golden sands of Ventnor Beach. Visit the UK’s oldest amusement park at Blackgang Chine or see the majestic 18th Century manor house ruins at Appuldurcombe. Brilliant attractions to visit include:
