Myrtle Cottage offers superb self-catering holiday accommodation on a private no-through road beside the stunning Pennard Golf Links near Swansea in Glamorgan. We are right on the coast which is just 10 minutes away and offers amazing views from our doorstep.
Myrtle Cottage:
This charming cottage sleeps 14 people, perfect for a group or family holiday in a brilliant location. The cottage is tastefully furnished and comes with a range of facilities to suit all your needs.
Inside the cottage, there is a well-equipped kitchen with a Range cooker, large Samsung fridge/freezer, small under-counter fridge, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave and an extensive choice of kitchen utensils & gadgets. The extendable dining table seats 14. Unwind in the sunny living room which comes with 3 large sofas, comfy sofas, an armchair, a large wool rug on an oak floor, coffee table (good for playing games/puzzles!) TV & a DVD player.
You can also unwind in the sun-filled conservatory or the beautiful patio and garden which has garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining. There is also a delightful summerhouse to unwind in.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms which both has super king beds which can be made into twin divans and include en suite facilities. On the ground floor, there is a family triple room with a king size bed and divan, plus en suite facilities. Bedroom 4 has a double and there is also a family bathroom.
Annex:
Our wonderful annex is linked to the main house through the outer entrance hall, with two steps leading to the front door which has its own key. The annex sleeps 3 adults and 2 children and includes a lovely open-plan lounge/kitchen/dinner. The cosy lounge has a gas flame burner, comfy seating area and dining table. Two attractive bedrooms are available: a king and a room with a single divan and bunk set. Both rooms share a family bathroom.
We are lucky to be right next to the renowned Pennard Golf Links (visitors welcome), the path to Three Cliffs and Pobbles Bay, and walking distance to the well known Three Cliffs Coffee Shop, PO and Stores. The village pub is just around the corner and the library, pharmacy and medical centre are also a short walk away. Another food shop is now stocking excellent local farm meat and vegetables.
There are plenty of castles, museums and historical villages to visit in the Gower. And don’t forget the National Waterfront Museum where kids can get interactive with history. The Swansea Museum takes you back to the prehistoric past and the Gower Heritage Centre has working woollen and watermills as well as craft and pottery workshops, a puppet theatre and tearooms. You can visit the birthplace of Dylan Thomas which has been fully restored or enjoy one of the many concerts on offer at Oystermouth Castle.
