The Badger Sett offers wonderful self catering accommodation in a secluded valley near Hesket Newmarket. Based in the heart of Cumbria, we are a haven for countryside lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. We are close to Wigton and lots of fantastic attractions are available in the area, including walking, mountain biking, kayaking, horse-riding or fell-running.
Our charming cottage sleeps up to 6 people and has been beautifully modernised to offer high-quality accommodation. The ground level property blends funky modern, retro-chic and antique furniture and comes with a delightful enclosed garden.
Three spacious bedrooms are available: two with king-size beds and one with two single divans. The Garden Bedroom features a gorgeous stone wall, a toasty wood-burning stove and TV with a built-in DVD player. The Swallows Bedrooms boasts breathtaking views across the valley and The Squirrels bedroom enjoys the same lovely views. The contemporary bathrooms are finished to a high standard: one comes with a bath and one comes with a shower.
We are near the quaint village of Hesket Newmarket which is just a one-mile stroll along a peaceful country lane. It has a village shop with an adjoining tea-room, a fantastic pub and a lovely children’s playground. We also a great base for exploring a range of famous attractions in the county.
