Stonehall is built into the side of a hill overlooking Chesil Beach and was once an ecclesiastical settlement. It now comprises three linked stone buildings; the Vestry, the Stonehouse and the Great Hall which are available to hire as single units, or all together. Stonehall is embedded in the fishing village of Chiswell, at the start of the coastal path, on Portland in Dorset. Groceries, newsagents, a great pub with home-cooked food and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. The beach is only a two-minute walk away.
The village of Chiswell lies at the point where the massive Chesil Beach joins Portland to the Dorset mainland.
There is plenty to do in the area from walking, cycling, fishing and golfing to visiting attractions including Portland Museum, Chesil Beach, South West Coastal Path, Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle.
