Our cosy and relaxing cottage is situated in a secluded part of the garden and boasts large windows throughout to give you glorious views of heather clad hills, the sea and distant mountains. The accommodation consists of a tastefully furnished lounge with satellite TV, DVD player and radio player. The kitchen/dining room is open plan and equipped to a high standard: including electric cooker, microwave, washing machine/dryer, fridge and coffee percolator.
Two miles away is the attractive village of Lochinver - the 'capital' of Assynt. Here is everything you need - the nearest grocery store, butcher, green-grocer, hotels, restaurants, post office, doctor, tourist office and craft shops. It is an ideal centre for exploring Sutherland - the rugged coast and hills to Cape Wrath, a day trip to the nature reserve of Handa Island with nesting birds, a scenic drive to Achiltibuie with its Smokehouse selling tempting local delicacies, and a Hydroponicum with exotic plants, the golf courses at Dornoch, Golspie, Ullapool and Durness, and the famous Caithness village of John O'Groats - the choice is endless.
