Cowclose Barn is situated on the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire. This is a peaceful but not remote location. It is very near The Gate Inn which offers local beers and excellent food served by friendly staff.
The 2 comfortable and spacious stone cottages have original features, such as oak beams and stone buttresses which give the cottages their character. There is a large garden with a patio and play area for young children.
This is excellent walking country with something for everyone. There are many stately homes and gardens including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, and Renishaw Hall and Garden that are all well worth a visit. Don’t forget to visit some of our beautiful small villages and see the Well Dressings. Popular places nearby include Bakewell, Eyam, Matlock, Buxton, Chesterfield, and Derby. Sheffield offers a range of galleries, shops, theatres, and restaurants and is a great day out.
