The Coach House, Rockfield, Monmouth, Monmouthshire (Sleeps 1-16)


The Coach House is a self-catering holiday home outside of Rockfield near Monmouth. It has been used as accommodation for those who are looking to explore Monmouthshire and as a place to stay for those who are using the recording studio on site. Our studio and accommodation have been used by some of the top recording artists in the world! The song which continually tops the polls as the most popular song of all time - 'Bohemian Rhapsody' - was recorded here as well as two of Queen's best selling LP's, 'Night at the Opera' and 'Sheer Heart Attack' & Oasis spent six weeks here in the summer of 1995 whilst recording 'What's the Story Morning Glory' in one of our studios whilst Nigel Kennedy recorded in the other.

The holiday home has been used as accommodation for one of the two recording studios and can accommodate up to 16 people in 7 en suite rooms. The bedrooms themselves include 2 family rooms, 3 twin rooms and 2 double rooms with Jacuzzi baths and power showers in each room. The holiday home features a spacious lounge and dining room, and large bedrooms with private bathrooms. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside & is situated just one mile from Monmouth.

Relax in front of the wood-burning stove in the main lounge after a day walking along the Offas Dyke path or in the Wye Valley. Enjoy spending time with your friends and family - the main lounge and dining area are very spacious and great for getting together. But enjoy the option of being able to relax in the comfort and privacy of your own large bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and the lounge is equipped with satellite TV, DVD and video players along with a stereo system. Each bedroom has its own TV, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Wheelchair access is available into two of the double bedrooms.

The surrounding area has plenty of activities and places of interest that guests of all ages can enjoy. You are spoilt for choice in the range of shops you have available, there is plenty of walking & cycling to do and other activities include:

Abseiling.
Climbing.
Caving.
4x4 outdoor driving.
Golf.
Walk with butterflies at The Butterfly Zoo.
Taste wine at Anchor Hill Vineyard.
