Kilheugh Cottage offers self catering holiday accommodation situated in St Andrews, Pittenweem, Fife. This 400 year old cottage is situated in the small fishing village of Pittenweem on a quiet wynd with beautiful views over the harbour, the Firth of Forth, the Bass Rock and the Berwickshire coast beyond.
The harbour, beach, shops, bus route and Fife Coastal path are all within a few minute’s walk and St Andrews is 15 minutes drive away.
All the rooms are comfortably furnished and the kitchen area is well equipped. We provide a TV, a DVD player and a radio/CD player.
There is a shed outside the cottage which can be used to store bicycles. Parking is available at the gable end of the house for a small car but there is also parking in the main square (2 minutes walk from the cottage).
Though the self catering cottage has no garden we have a terrace leading up to the front door which can be used for sitting outside. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement.
The self catering cottage is situated in the centre of the village and is close to all the amenities. The village has a post office and a range of traditional shops as well as cafes and pubs which serve food (seafood is a speciality).
This part of Fife is renowned for its many fine golf courses and has good walking opportunities with abundant wildlife. There is also a wide range of historical and tourist attractions in the area with a variety of good restaurants and interesting shops.
The cottage is usually let from April to October (Saturday to Saturday) but short breaks can be arranged in the quieter months of the year.
