Woodturner's Cottage is a beautifully renovated former joiner's workshop. It formed part of the old stone built steading of Yester Mains. Set on a working dairy and arable farm and only a mile from the picturesque East Lothian village of Gifford. The nearest town is Haddington which is just off the A1 and the self catering cottage is only an hour from Edinburgh.
The self catering cottage can sleep up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. Ideal for friends or family as the rooms are set up as a double en suite and 2 twin bedrooms. The living room has a wood burning stove and doors leading onto the patio and garden. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher coffee maker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dining area.
The holiday cottage is just a short walk from the pubs, church, shop, hairdressers and food store in Gifford village. If you want to visit somewhere a bit more lively then Haddington town has got a supermarket, pubs and restaurants.
Nearby Haddington is a pretty Scottish market town, with deep agricultural roots. A farmers market takes place on the last Saturday of every month. You will also find a good mixture of shops, cafes and restaurants.
