Belton House Holiday Home offers superb self-catering accommodation in Wanlockhead, Scotland’s highest village. Our magnificent country house is nestled in an elevated position and in a great location for exploring Dumfries & Galloway.
Our fabulous property sleeps up to 22 people, great for family gatherings, large groups, hen parties, birthdays and anniversary celebrations. The house is tastefully furnished and comes with a range of excellent facilities to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
Inside the property, there are 7 attractive bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a master en suite and includes a king-size bed, single bed and bunk beds. Bedrooms 2, 4 and bedroom 6 have double beds, whilst bedrooms 3 and 5 have double beds and bunk beds. Bedroom 7 has a double bed and futon bed.
Rustle up some delicious dishes in the well-equipped kitchen which comes with a range of excellent appliances. You can enjoy some-cooked food around the dining table which seats 22 people. Facilities in the living area include an LCD/Plasma TV, a log fire and a DVD player. You can also enjoy the fabulous games room which has a pool table, arcade machine and Bluetooth Jukebox.
Soak away your troubles in the luxurious hot tub which boasts Bluetooth. A sauna and karaoke are also available. The family-friendly garden is large and there is also a brilliant children’s play area.
Nearby is the Leadhills General Stores which sells a range of essentials, including fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, homemade lasagne, chocolates, cigarettes, logs and much more. You can visit the award-winning Museum of Lead Mining which is just a 2-minute way away or wander around the amazing grounds at Drumlanrig Castle.
