Fleetwith Cottage is a 4 star holiday home in the Lake District National Park. The holiday cottage is in Lorton, just a short drive from Keswick and Cockermouth. The cottage can sleep 4, however it is ideal for both a couple or a family who are visiting Cumbria.
Fleetwith is one of a block of four cottages, built alongside a courtyard. They are built 'upside down' - the bedrooms being downstairs with the lounge upstairs to make the most of the views over the fells.
Opposite the house is a utility room. This is an ideal place for muddy boots or bikes.
Lorton lies at the northern end of Lorton Vale, a beautiful valley which runs from Cockermouth to Buttermere. This attractive village has a shop less than 450 metres from the cottage. There are also walks around the local area that start from the village.
Keswick is less than 20 minutes from our cottage, across Whinlatter Forest Park. The market town of Keswick is surrounded by mountains and sits next to the beautiful Derwentwater. There are a wide range of attractions for visitors including shops, restaurants, museums and boating trips.
