Built over two storeys, it is ideal for couples and small families. The holiday cottage has a double and twin bedroom. There is a living room which includes a TV, DVD player, Bose sound system and Bluetooth speaker. The modern kitchen is fully fitted.
Outside there is an enclosed garden which has wonderful views.
Cairns Cottage is situated on a quiet country road that follows the contours of the coastline, with small bays, little fishing harbours, sweeping sands and stunning scenery. It finishes at Redpoint Bay, a renowned beauty spot, with a wide sandy beach.
For walkers not only does Gairloch lie just on the Western fringe of the infamous “Wilderness” tract of unspoilt mountainous land, it can also boast Torridon just to the South and Coigach and Assynt by Ullapool to the North. These areas have some of the best mountains in Scotland, with a large number of Munro’s (mountains over 3,000 feet) and many other great climbs of lesser heights to attract rock climbers and walkers. On lower ground, there are many great walks around the many lochs and glens that offer panoramic views to the hills and across the sea to Skye. Other activities to undertake include watersports at Badachrobay and Sheildaig bay, fishing in the rivers, Ewe, Badachro and Kerry, or salmon fishing in one of the Lochs.
