Built in the late 17th Century and situated in the pretty village of Glaisdale in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, 'The Green' used to be the village post office. Now it is a beautiful 3 bedroomed cottage with a village shop and post office and a great butchers within a couple of minutes’ walk and a pub around a 15 minute walk down the hill.
This centrally heated and double glazed cottage has a well equipped kitchen, separate lounge and dining rooms (both with wood burning stoves) and plenty of space in the utility for boots and coats.
The property is in the North York Moors National Park. Danby Moors Visitor Centre or The Yorkshire Cycle Hub are around 3 miles away. The local area is great for walking or cycling, with many way marked paths to explore on the moors or along the river nearby. We can arrange for you to fish on request. The villages of Goathland and Grosmont are well worth a visit and can be reached by train. The steam trains can be heard in the house when the windows are open.
