The Wreck, Saint Ives, Cornwall (Sleeps 1-8)


The Wreck is a beautiful self catering house in the centre of the ‘Downalong’, the old quarter of St Ives, Cornwall. The house dates from the 19th Century and is only a few steps away from the town’s beaches, harbour, shops, restaurants, The Tate Gallery, the St Ives School of Painting and much more.

The charming property retains all of its original character and features and the front door opens onto the delightful cobbled lane of The Digey. The Porthmeor Beach is located 2 minutes walk to the right and Fore Street seconds to the left.

For those rainy days, there is a small selection of books, DVDs and board games. There is also a selection of buckets and spades and beach games provided.

St Ives is a great holiday destination for art lovers, surfers and history fans. The town has gorgeous sandy beaches, wonderful restaurants, bars, art galleries and stunning gardens. You can enjoy a range of activities, such as fishing trips, boat rides, mini-golf, birdwatching, surfing, coasteering, walking and watersports. Great attractions in the area include:

The Tate.
St Ives Museum.
Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
St Michael’s Mount.
The Lizard Peninsula.
