Peedie Waaness, Burray, Orkney


Peedie Waaness is a 2 bedroom; self contained bungalow situated at the end of a private drive, that offers self catering accommodation for up to 4 people in Burray, Orkney. Our accommodation is the perfect holiday base for any getaway in this beautiful part of northeastern Scotland with panoramic and uninterrupted views across the Historic Wreck Site of Scapa Flow.

The two bedrooms consist of 1 double and 1 twin room; both with wardrobes, clock radios, hairdryers and all linen and towels included. The sitting room has TV, CD, DVD player and a selection of CD's, DVDs and books are also available for the use of visitors along with tourist information leaflets and maps of the islands. It also features large panoramic windows that have extensive, uninterrupted views across Scapa Flow. 

Waaness is located on the island of Burray which is accessed by a road network from the Mainland and the 'Churchill' barriers, built during the Second World War for the defence of Scapa Flow and the Royal Navy's wartime fleet at that time. Peedie Waaness is just over 1 mile from the village of Burray, which has a shop, a pub/restaurant/Hotel, and further out of the village, there is the Orkney Fossil and Heritage Centre and Cafe.
