Peedie Waaness Burray, Orkney (Sleeps 1 - 4)
Our accommodation is the perfect holiday base for any getaway in this beautiful part of north eastern Scotland with panoramic and uninterrupted views across the Historic Wreck Site of Scapa Flow.
Waaness is located on the island of Burray which is accessed by a road network from the Mainland and the 'Churchill' barriers, built during the Second World War for the defence of Scapa Flow and the Royal Navy's wartime fleet at that time. Peedie Waaness is just over 1 mile from the village of Burray, which has a shop, a pub/restaurant/Hotel, and further out of the village there is the Orkney Fossil and Heritage Centre and Cafe.

There is a bus service which runs from St Margaret's Hope through to Kirkwall and then on to Stromness. There are more facilities at St Margaret' Hope, which is on the island of South Ronaldsay, 4 miles away, connected by No 4 Churchill Barrier, with shops and post office, sandy beaches and a 9 hole golf course. The 'Hope' is also home to the Pentalina, the Pentland Ferries catamarran ferry service, with frequent daily sailings to mainland Scotland, landing at Gills Bay near John O'Groats.
