The house is at the centre of the Old Harbour front, and two bedrooms face the harbour, now used by small boats. The living room and kitchen are behind, looking onto a small yard.
Portsoy has 2 hotels, 2 cafes, a famous ice cream shop, a Post Office and a fish merchant. There is a chemist and a Co-op, while the Shore Inn and the Portsoy Marble Shop are on the Harbour near the holiday house.
The surrounding area is famed for castles to visit, whisky distilleries and golf courses, and there are attractive walks from the village along the Moray Firth coast.
