The Saltings, Batheaston, Bath, Somerset (Sleeps 1 - 2)

Up to around 100 years ago it was used as a place to salt the meat for what was then a butcher's shop on the high street, part of the same building. It's tucked into a corner of a private courtyard owned by us and is very quiet.

The conversion to a high quality holiday let was completed in 2011 by us, John and Jane. As well as retaining as many of the original period features of the property as possible, we have tried to enhance the building’s character through careful use of stone and wood to create a unique and very comfortable, character property, ideal for couples looking for a romantic or relaxing break, or singles looking for a home from home and more.

The secure car parking space in front of the cottage is just one of the features which makes The Saltings high on convenience. For those without a car, the bus stop to central Bath is on the High Street at the front of the building.

Bath is just ten minutes by car or bus and a little over 30 minutes flat walk. It's been said Bath has been 'the world's pleasure-drome' for the last 2000 years!

It’s the UK's only World Heritage city, its history dating back to pre Roman times.
